New Trends in Veterinary Medicine Trials

Published clinical trials in veterinary medicine vary in quality and therefore reliability. In addition, the purpose (e.g. for drug licensing) and design of the trials means they often have very limited applicability to clinical practice. The current limitations of veterinary trials will be highlighted in this talk and then novel approaches to delivering ‘real life’ large scale clinical trails with be discussed. Learning from each other across species as well as disciplines  is a route to improving the evidence base for all our patients whether they have 2 legs or 4!
