Raquel Billiones

Raquel Billiones (PhD in Biology) is a (she/her) subject matter expert in Clinical Research, Development & Regulatory Strategy, Regulatory Medical Writing for Pharma/Medical Devices/Combination Products, and Data Disclosure/Protection. She has been a regulatory writer for almost 20 years, covering both pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Her core competencies include clinical trials and marketing authorisation submission documents, data disclosure and protection, and project and people management. Over the years, she took on a wide range of industry positions, as freelancer, as employed regulatory writer, and leadership roles in CROs and big pharma settings. She is currently employed at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine.
Raquel is an active EMWA member since 2006 serving in various roles. She co-founded the EMWA Medical Device SIGs and co-leads several EMWA regulatory workshops on medicinal products, medical devices, and combination products. She is currently the editor-in-chief of the EMWA journal Medical Writing and a member of the EMWA Executive Committee.
