Katharina has studied human medicine and did her thesis in the field of neurophysiology at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. After three years of working as an orthopedic and trauma surgeon, she decided to turn her passion for writing and science into her profession. In her last position, she prepared MDR compliant documents for class I to class III devices as a medical writer for Becton Dickinson. In 2020, she contributed as a speaker for EMWA webinars about Summary of Safety and Performance (SSCP) and Post-market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF).
Since 2021, she is working as a Freelance Medical Writer, focusing on regulatory writing for medical devices, especially in the cardiovascular and orthopedic fields.
